Recently, HyperStrong’s 20MWh commercial energy storage project in Malaysia achieved full-capacity grid connection and commercial operation. Developed in collaboration with a high-quality local partner - Plus Xnergy, the project is located in a leading large-scale grain production industrial park in Malaysia. This milestone marks a significant step in HyperStrong's overseas expansion and reinforces the company's growing presence in Southeast Asia's C&I energy storage market.

The project is led by a well-known local clean energy development company and delivered by Plus Xnergy, one of Malaysia’s leading clean energy and energy storage EPCC providers, with a proven track record of delivering over 500MWp solar system installation and 100MWh of completed and ongoing battery energy storage system (BESS) projects nationwide. Leveraging its deep engineering expertise and strong local execution capabilities, Plus Xnergy successfully managed the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and grid integration of the project, ensuring seamless deployment and operational readiness.
The 20MWh BESS project is designed to deliver tangible economic and operational benefits for the industrial park. Through an intelligent operating strategy of charging during off-peak periods and discharging during peak hours, the system effectively smooths load fluctuations, significantly reduces the Maximum Demand (MD) costs, optimises energy utilisation, and enhances power supply stability and energy efficiency across the park's production facilities.
Self-developed AC-coupled Energy Storage Goes Global
This project is a commercial benchmark project of HyperStrong’s HyperBlock III AC-coupled integrated BESS deployment. The solution deeply integrates the DC battery system with the Power Conversion System (PCS). Compared with traditional energy storage solutions, it features a smaller footprint, higher system efficiency, and simplified operation and maintenance (O&M). The highly integrated product design greatly simplifies on-site installation, wiring, and commissioning, effectively shortening the construction period while adapting efficiently to the complex construction environment of the industrial park. The excellent project results have won unanimous recognition from all parties.
Strong Local Partnerships – Efficiently Solving On-site Challenges
The project relies on efficient local cooperation between HyperStrong and Plus Xnergy, combining HyperStrong's advanced energy storage technology with Plus Xnergy's strong local engineering, project management, and commissioning expertise. Through close collaboration, the project team successfully overcame site-specific challenges and delivered the project on schedule, demonstrating the effectiveness of international technology partnerships supported by strong local execution capabilities.
Win-Win in Cost Reduction and Carbon Reduction – Supporting Industrial Green Transformation
The project will deliver significant and stable electricity cost savings throughout its life cycle, generating solid commercial value. At the same time, by optimizing grid load and reducing energy consumption, it effectively lowers carbon emissions. This helps the leading grain production base in Malaysia achieve low-carbon upgrades, providing a replicable and scalable practical model for energy storage retrofits in grain, edible oil, and food processing industrial scenarios in Southeast Asia.
Deepening Presence in Southeast Asia – Expanding Overseas Energy Storage Footprint
The successful commissioning of the 20MWh energy storage project in Malaysia, with Plus Xnergy’s professional services, is an important milestone in HyperStrong’s global expansion of its self-developed integrated BESS products, and a key step in deepening the company’s position in the Southeast Asian energy storage market.
Looking ahead, HyperStrong will continue to optimize its energy storage solutions, deepen strategic cooperation with local supply chains in overseas markets, and leverage proven project experience to expand into diverse application scenarios such as industrial manufacturing, industrial parks, mining and oilfields, and commercial & industrial complexes – helping more enterprises achieve efficient energy use and low-carbon transformation.
